Snowmen & Hearts...Packaged and Ready for sale! Feedback Please!

Whoo Hoo!! I finally got some crafting done!  I have been slowly working on my new bowl fillers for months now.  Cutting out the patterns, machine sewing, hand sewing, a little painting (the noses!), hand stitching the mouths, gluing on antique trims and buttons, glittering, designing & making the tags, making some potpourri, bagging the potpourri, and finally putting it all together in a cellophane bag and tying it with a big bow!  Whew!  I'm not sure it was all worth it!  I put so much time into these that surely they are worth $100 each!  LOL!  Give me your expert opinions on them and price ideas.  I'd love your feedback!  The hearts have different words on each set like Peace, Love, Harmony & Live, Laugh, Love.

Well I am on to the next crafting adventure when I get back from my trip.  Today I'm looking for bath rugs & towels for my newly decorated bathroom.  Then I have to iron some clothes & start packing...  I'm also practicing for a solo to sing Sunday in church.  It is the new Amy Grant song "Better Than A Hallelujah".  If you haven't heard it, you need to.  It is totally awesome.  As soon as I heard it, I knew I had to sing it.  This is my first solo in about 9 years! I've sang a few duets, but not all by my lonesome!  Of course I won't really be alone, will I?  Then shortly after, I leave on my trip.  Lots going on...  Have a wonderful remainder of July everyone.

Blessings,
Cindy

Too Many Projects, So Little Time...

I have been working on so many things that I am going a little stir crazy.  I don't know what to do first, second, or at all!  LOL!  Anyway, I am redoing our master bathroom and with my dear hubby's help, got all the painting finished yesterday.  He did the cut in work and I rolled.  Did I tell you how wonderful he is??  ;-)  I have been spray painting a metal shelf unit that sits above the toilet area; with the wind today, it has been a challenge!  That is now in place and I have all the finishing touches to hang, fill, and primp.  I spent less than $50 on all the accessories.  That doesn't include towels and mats yet.  I shopped thrift stores, craft markets, antique malls, and gift shops for everything.  It will be cottage beach theme.  It was previously a Coca-Cola theme.  Here are so photos of the work along the way.  I will post final pictures when I decide exactly where I want everything.

Here is the Coca-Cola theme...

Here are the new accessories!

The newly painted shelf unit in my backyard...

This is the bathroom.  It is more of a beige tone than this picture shows, but it is so nice after the half wall of cranberry.  It was time for that to go!!  We'll see what I do with all the stuff...

That is the bathroom so far.  You will have to check back for the finished project.

Now for my other projects.  Here is a photo gallery of works to come...

Well, that is it for now.  I hope you are having a wonderful week!  Time to get busy...

Blessings,
Cindy

Happy Independence Day!

This is a special day for our country that shouldn't be taken for granted.  We are a free nation because of the sacrifice of Americans throughout our country's history.  Men and Women have fought and died for the United States of America.  Families have lost loved ones and still to this very day, are losing their sons, daughters, fathers, mothers to continue the ongoing fight for our freedoms we hold so dear.  Whether Republican, Democrat, Independent, or what ever political party, we need to stand firm in our appreciation for those who serve our great nation.  Take pride in being an American!  God Bless America!

Blessings to you and yours,
Cindy

Anniversary trip full of camping, beachcombing, antiquing, and more...

Our 33rd Anniversary camping trip is over but not forgotten.  What a wonderful five days of relaxation, mixed with some shopping, beach-combing, hiking, campfires, walking our new little dog, Sophie, and just being in nature.  I will capture the moments in pictures and leave the rest untouched in our memories.

This is a beautiful spot on our drive that I had to take a picture of.  It is just over the mountains from Central Oregon on the McKenzie side towards Eugene.

This is our new doggie, Sophie, sitting between my hubby and I on the 5 hr. drive to Florence.  She had just been napping...

This is the beach when we arrived, shrouded in fog, mild temperature, and no wind.  So peaceful!

Someone's creation on the beach.

Our camp spot was on the left of this picture.

Flowers in bloom...

Wild Iris
Rhododendron
Foxglove

A hiking trail we enjoyed through the lush greenery.

 A bridge along our path...

Lots of salamanders!

Sophie turning to check on me... She kept a watchful eye.  She made sure she was in between my hubby and I along the path.  I kept stopping and picking up moss for my nest projects...  I was never out of breath... no not me!!

An anniversary surprise from my beloved husband... he's a keeper!

I couldn't resist another pic... they lasted the whole trip.  What a way to camp... with roses as the centerpiece!

And for some treasures I found in antique and thrift stores...

With some ocean treasures sprinkled in...

I have so much more I could share, but I think those are better left for us to remember.  And after all is said and done, it was a wonderful anniversary and I am so thankful for all the blessings in my life... my husband, my kids, the wonderful beauty all around us that we get to enjoy on this earth.  May you find the beauty in your life and celebrate your blessings with the ones you love.

Blessings,
Cindy
