I'm going to be a grandma!! My hubby & I are thrilled beyond words. My only question is... what do I want to be called by our grandchild? I really don't want to be called grandma or grandmother. So give me some ideas!!
I was suppose to be called Bebe but the grandsons call me Gigi and the my grand daughters call me Yaya. They call their grandfather Poppa or Pappoo - sometimes they call him Grumpy. Whatever they decide to call you it will be the best name in the world. Congratulations. Brenda
Hello dear Cindy, Congratulations to you and your family! I'm so excited for you! When I read your post it made me think of Sandy @ Quill Cottage. Have you heard of her? You would LOVE her, I know. But she posted about what she should have her grandson call her. So I am sending you the link to it. I love it! I think you will too. http://quillcottage.blogspot.com/2007/10/hannah-time.html Have a wonderful weekend.
babies are WONDERFUL!!! so so lovely. And whatever you are called, the baby will always pick up a nick name for you (my dad was supposed to be called Grandad but the first grandbaby couldn't say that, now everyone picked up on what she could say... so we have all called him gong-gong for years!
Congrats on being a Grandmother! Thanks for the comment you left me on my kitchen! Congrats to your daughter on her house too! That's so exciting for her! When I got my keys to my house that was the most exciting and rewarding day ever!.....& isent Homegoods amazing! I am crazy about Homegoods. I am About 20 mins out from the Beaverton area. I go to both the Beaverton one and portland one often!
Cindy, That is awesome!! congratulations to all!! =)
My grand kids call me Grandma, (Hey, there are worse things to be called). The other grandma is Grammy (cause she did not want to be called Grandma. =) I sign my note to my 17 year old granddaughter g.ma.
But I agree with the commenter that said they will probably find some name for you of their own. That is most special.
